Teamwork

I took Cody and Anna to the playground this week. Cody and Anna had some comical moments together (three stooges comedy) and I wished I had our video camera. Anna struggled trying to get up to the higher levels of the play equipment. Cody seeing her futile efforts reached his hands down to her and told her to hold on to his hands and he would help her. Several times he shouted, “You can do it! You can do it, Anna!” Cody pulled with all his might, but it looked as if he was pulling dead weight as Anna was being dragged on her stomach. It was quite a hopeless sight, so I began to walk over out of fear for what Anna was being put through in Cody’s attempt to hoist her up. As I approached, Anna and Cody seemed to also realize how ridiculous their attempts were and began giggling like little elementary school children. With each unsuccessful pull, they would follow it with laughter! At one point, I even saw Anna wipe her mouth as if she had gotten a taste of some dirt along the way, but that didn’t seem to damper her spirits. They had so much fun working together, and in the end their work paid off. Anna finally made it to the top! She is one tough little girl!
