I took Anna last week to get her immunization shots at the doctor. Cody hasn’t had a vaccination in over a year and never seems to pay much attention when Anna receives her shots, as he is too preoccupied playing with the toys in the exam room. He probably doesn’t even remember what a shot feels like. Anna got four shots at this particular visit, and it must have left more of an impression on Cody than I realized. Two or three days after Anna’s doctor appointment Cody stopped abruptly during his prayers. He got a very serious look on his face and then continued with a heartfelt, appreciative tone, “and thank You that I did not have to get a poke at the doctor this time.”
