Broken

Last evening we ended Mother’s Day with a trip to the Emergency Room. Anna was pushing her baby stroller at home when the wheels slipped out from under her. She fell and broke her collar bone. It was heartbreaking. Cody told her later how much he liked her sling and asked her if she was feeling any better. She does pretty well during the day especially having pain medicine in her. Sleeping makes her feel sad as I am sure the position of laying down hurts her. It is so sad watching her try to keep the tears inside and be brave. I lay with her and stroke her hair before she falls asleep. Even if I can’t take the pain completely away I want her to know that I am there for her and glad I bring some comfort. She seems to be doing better as the day goes on. Wish I could take this all from her.
