Cooking Party

Cody was invited to a friend’s birthday party this weekend. It was a cooking party, so I stayed and helped her mother out. We had so much fun! I was amazed at how organized and well-behaved all the children were~and there were A LOT! First, the children got to decorate their very own apron and chef’s hat. So cute! Then they decorated their birthday cupcake made with animal crackers and pretzels to look like an animal in its cage at the zoo. The jello cups they got were bright blue, like the ocean, and each of the children added a peach slice made to look like a sailboat and then added little gummy fish candy into the “water.” They also made strawberry mice and strawberry ladybugs. There were also games and other fun things for the children to do. It was such a creative party, different from your typical birthday celebration. I think all of the children, as well as the adults, had a great afternoon together. I know I left feeling inspired to find some more fun, crazy snack creations for Cody and Anna to make. I definitely need to do more of this now as they are only this little for a short time.
