A Special Gift

Cody climbed up into my lap right next to his baby brother. Immediately a very pleased smile splashed across Dylan’s face as he glanced over at Cody. And Cody knew too that Dylan was happy he joined us as I noticed a small grin on Cody’s face, proud to be the honored big brother. Then Cody said to me, “Mom, thank you for my special gift you got me.” He clarified, “When you went to the hospital and got that baby for me. I’m so glad you got it for me.” He nestled his head against my arm.

So, aside from calling Dylan “it” I thought Cody’s words were very touching!
