I took Cody and Anna to see a Children’s Theatre put on a production of Beauty and the Beast several weeks ago at a local community college. My friend sent me this picture that she took of Cody and Anna with Belle that evening. The night was so magical for Cody and Anna. The props were amazing, and, at one point, Cody had to remind himself out loud that this was just a play…too many unbelievable things were occuring! How could the little boy playing Chip actually have his head sitting on a table without the rest of his body attached…this was just one of the many things that mystified Cody! Anna grew very worried for Belle during the play that she would never see her father again. She was truly scared and sad for her, so hard to separate fiction from reality. After the play we got to go back stage and meet and talk with the actors. Anna’s eyes were fixed on Belle and tried her best to be as close to Belle’s side as possible. She was mesmerized by her. When we left (around 11:00 p.m.) Cody, with tired eyes, asked excitedly, “When can we do this again!”
