More Mother’s Day Photos

For Mother’s Day we went out for lunch to one of my favorite restaurants. Shawn helped Cody, Anna, and Dylan make some homemade cards for me…He truly knows how much I love the sentiment in a home-made card. Cody’s was a little extra special this year because he can now write his own thoughts all by himself. On the inside of the card this is what he wrote, “I love (drawn with a heart) you. I love you 10000551.” He loves trying to throw out a big number now to tell me just how much he loves me, and it means all the world to me. Anna was supposed to keep her card a secret, but when I got home from running an erand she greeted me at the door telling me all the cute pictures she put in her card! Shawn was so thoughtful when he and Dylan made Dylan’s card. It made me smile when I read it. It read, “Dadda, you’re the best mommy in the world.” You see, Dylan is in the habit of calling me “Dadda” right now. He lights up when he sees me and comes running straight for me, arms out, calling “Dadda.” It’s the cutest thing! After lunch we went to the butterfly house. This was Dylan’s first visit there. We played at the park and got to take a tour of an old homestead and learn how butter was made and watch a blacksmith do his work. The kids found a frog while there and played with him. They giggled with delight over this little guy. They named him John. Here are some photos from the day. I love these guys sooo much!
