Just Breathe

I bought some new toothpaste for Cody and Anna the other day. It really is the mildest toothpaste you could buy aside from the toddler fluoride-free paste. Sheer panic arises at bedtime at the thought of getting their teeth brushed with this toothpaste. They insist their mouths are on fire (well, almost). Cody probably has the worst fear of it touching his mouth. Anna walked in to the bathroom when it was his turn to get his teeth brushed to offer some self-help advice. In all seriousness, she tried to talk him through it, “Cody, just breathe during it. Just breathe.” She demonstrated for me later when I brushed her teeth, big deep breaths in and then a large exhale. Repeat. So funny!~ Anna’s words of wisdom.
