Piggy Toes

Here is a little known fact about Dylan: He does not like to have his piggy toes covered at bedtime. He loves to snuggle now and rock in my arms, but if the blankets ever cover those sweet toes he immediately begins working to rearrange the covers. Unfortunately, I can sometimes take for granted these special details that make him HIM until one night I heard him calling out for help from his bed, a plea, “Stuuuck! Stuuuck!” We went in to find him tangled up in his blankets, desperately trying to free his toes. Ever since then, Dylan is careful to remind us sweetly, “stuck,” whenever we go to cover him, making sure we know that his toes need to breathe. I love this little man!
