Dear Mommy

Yesterday was a fantastic day! The kind of day where I make an awesome breakfast for the kids, juggle housework and homeschooling and playtime like a pro, write “just because” love notes to the kids. A day where Cody loses that tooth on the top that has kept him paralyzed from eating, afraid he was going to swallow it. He usually likes to pull those teeth, but this one just hadn’t been ready. But what really kept me thinking at the end of the day were the sweet notes Cody and Anna secretly made for me. I could hear them whispering in the other room as Cody helped Anna spell the words in her message. I love these notes, cherish these notes. They are the notes that make my eyes well up with tears. I hope they always feel this way.

P.S. Cody was feeling a little self-conscience about his missing top teeth, so he did not want to show me his new smile. He is quite pleased that two teeth are missing now, just not ready to show it off for the camera yet. It takes a little getting used to I suppose. (smile)
