Field of Sunshine

There are so many reasons why I love Shawn. This week as we were leaving Arkansas after visiting Shawn’s family we passed a field full of yellow wildflowers. Shawn commented on how pretty the field was and asked me if I wanted to take some pictures there. Aah, he know me well!! We stoppped. The kids were excited that they got to play in the field! That is one nice thing about the country, no trespassing signs to discourage a person. Anna immediately went into dainty, girly behavior as she was surrounded by such loveliness! Even the way she knelt down to pick flowers was with such grace. I love that about her…that she loves all things pink and beautiful, yet loves to do all the fun adventurous things with the boys! One of the kids’ favorite games to play is telephone. Cody and Anna sat in the field laughing so hard as they played this, sharing funny secrets throughout. I love the photos and memories that we went away with! And I LOVE the color of the flowers that day, my absolute favorite color. Dylan knows yellow as “Mommy’s favorite color.” I just love how happy and warm the color makes you feel…just like these little ones that bring sunshine everyday. They are my joy!!!
