Makes Me Smile

I had to share a few special moments from today.  I was grading Anna’s papers with Abigail sitting beside me on the floor.  Anna walked up to Abby and said quietly to her, “Okay, now I am going to baptize you.”  Then she cradled Abby like a baby and tipped her back.  Then I heard Anna say quietly, “Father. Son. Holy Spirit.”  Sooo cute!  You can tell someone is getting ready for her baptism next month!  Then as we were playing outside, Anna says to me, “Mommy, I wonder who I’m going to marry.”  I said, “I bet it will be somebody pretty cute and sweet.  (She gets a cute grin on her face.) And I bet he will love God and love you a lot.”  She said, “I wish I could marry Daddy, but you already took him.”  So precious.  Cody said to me when we were getting Abigail out of her crib this morning, “Mom, I think she is so happy because she knows she is really loved.”  Cody also made me some flowers and a spring basket out of paper today.  He worked a long time on it.  I thought he might want to take a break.  I asked him if his hands hurt from working on it.  He let me know they didn’t.  I joked and asked if his brain hurt from working so hard.  He said, “No.  Those don’t hurt when my heart is doing something happy.”  I LOVE when the kids say such sweet things!
