Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead

Here are some photos taken at the Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead. The kids got to “mine,” feed the goats, and go on a pony ride. They also got to see what a tepee or Indian lodge would have looked like and also see a one room schoolhouse and an old bank. They loved seeing all the different farm animals while there. I thought it was so funny watching the kids find animal feed on the ground to feed the goats. We never carry change, so we didn’t have quarters with us to buy the feed. There was plenty of feed on the ground, though, and along the edges of the feeders that we had more than enough. Note the photo of Dylan, hunkered down, peeking in the feeder. It makes me laugh looking at it. He was investigating the feeders for more food…resourceful kids!
