Moolah Shrine Circus Parade

We went to the Moolah Shrine Circus Parade this morning on Main Street, and I thought it was one of the best parades we have been to, largely because of how simplistic and interactive it was. The clowns and different characters in the parade came up to the kids and talked with them, were silly with them, and would call the kids over to get their picture with them. They provided some fun entertainment and routines. In fact, some of the routines seemed so out of charcter for grown adults, but I loved how silly they were willing to be to humor the kids. At one point, a group came by dressed in bright clown colors carrying Sponge Bob lawn chairs and were doing almost a STOMP routine with their chairs as they made cool music to the sounds of opening and closing the chairs. They were chanting something funny as they walked by, and a lady from the group shouted something like, “You’ve never seen this before!” They had to feel somewhat silly, and I just loved that they acted so goofy for the kids. One clown asked Cody if Anna was his wife. Cody told us afterwards, “Umm, that was awkward!” Ha! Dylan was so excited when he got his first piece of candy. He had pure joy all over his face! The boys were so excited when the marching band played a song from Indiana Jones. Dylan told us that he couldn’t believe it!  We ate at one of our favorite restaurants along Main Street afterwards.  It was the perfect Saturday afternoon!  Oh, see if you can spot the lion/dog in the car from the photos below, such a crazy sight!
