Watching For The Trashman

There is something wonderful seeing kids get excitement from some of the most “mundane” jobs.  When Cody and Anna were little they got the most excitement over watching the trashman come get our garbage.  I loved how our trashmen at the time got the biggest kick out of hearing Cody and Anna ooh and aww over their job!  Cody and Anna would wave excitedly to the men, and these grown, burly men would laugh and wave in the sweetest way back.   Now it’s Dylan and Abby I see running through the house when they hear the trash truck.  I love how children see delight in what some might consider “mundane.”
