Muppets Most Wanted

I wanted to share a few photos from Anna’s 8th birthday.  She invited a few friends over for pizza and cake.  Then we headed to the movie theater to watch Muppets Most Wanted.  The girls came back for a sleepover, and in the morning we had bakery donuts, and the girls played King and Queen/Guard The Castle.  I absolutely love these girls and their sweet hearts.  Noone was ready for the party to be over the next morning, although, I didn’t think I would ever be able to recover from the lack of sleep!  We celebrated more on Anna’s actual birthday.  We ate out and got dessert at Yogurt World where the kids love to make the most disgusting (to me anyways) yogurt concoctions!  For some reason, I thought it would be fun to write Anna a Happy Birthday message on the toilet paper roll, so she could receive a birthday greeting first thing in the morning.  Shawn thought it was weird (and, let’s be honest, probably gross), but my heart was truly in it!  Ha!  I hear Anna walk out of the bathroom that morning, and all she says is, “What the heck?!”  I don’t think it was quite reciprocated the way I had hoped, and she said, “I figured Dad would think that was weird, but I thought you wouldn’t, so I knew it was you that must have done that.”  Guilty as charged…Hey, it was the thought that counts, right???  Ha!  We did have a lovely card sitting by her breakfast place setting as well…a much lovelier gesture, I have now learned!  Shawn and I received one of the best gifts ourselves eight years ago!  “Anna Grace with the Pretty Face,”  we love you so much!!  You are beautiful from the inside out!
