Fall Party 2014

We had our school fall party several weeks ago.  We made spider art and spider Oreos, made slime, played pin the football in the uprights, played a water squirt pumpkin game, bobbed for donuts, went on a scavenger hunt, played guess the icky stuff, and did various other fun activities.  I made a Pumkin Chuckin’ game for the toddlers and preschoolers using toilet paper rolls and felt.  I thought the pumpkins turned out so cute!  I got an email from a friend after the party, and I just love what she wrote, “We all had such a beautiful time at the fall party.  All the work, time & love for these kiddos was apparent.”  I loved that last line.  It’s true.  All the planning, effort, time involved in organizing each party is completely driven by a love for our children.  I am also reminded by how amazing my friends who help plan these parties and love on my children are to me.  They make this momma’s heart swell with gratitude for a lovely life in a not so lovely world.
