Project Backpack

Anna and her Girl Scout troop volunteered a day to help out at Project Backpack.  Project Backpack provides area police departments, social service agencies, domestic violence shelters and Department of Family Services workers with backpacks filled with necessities and comfort items.  These filled backpacks are delivered to children on-the-scene and at the moment they are needed.  The backpacks make a huge difference for children who are removed from their homes, usually with nothing but the clothes on their backs.
