Babler State Park and Quotes

There is so much evil in the world and news right now.  Life was never meant to be like this.  Sometimes getting on here is my repite.  I loved getting to spend time with my family exploring Babler State Park and God’s beautiful creation this weekend.  I love being reminded of the goodness and joy in each day.  Here are a few recent quotes:

1.  Abigail said to me one day, “Mommy, life feels good.”

2.  Dylan made me laugh while trying to read him a story at the hair salon.  I was distracted by a conversation going on nearby, so Dylan told me, “Read it with confidence!”

3.  Dylan did something the one day and then looked at me with raised, slightly cocked eyebrows and said, “And if you don’t find that funny, then you’ve got a problem!”

4.  Anna told me, “I’ve always kind of wanted to be in a future history book.”

5.  Shawn told Dylan when he wanted a refill at dinner, “Dylan, you can get your own drink.”  Abigail responded, “Yeah, you’re caseable (meaning capable).  Even, though, I don’t know what caseable means.”

6. I heard Dylan and Abigail playing out in the garage.  Abby must have hurt Dylan somehow because I heard Abby say, “Oh, I’m so sorry, a million times sorry.  What can I do to repay you?”  Dylan quickly answered back with, “Money works!”

7.  Abby was overheard saying, “I’m not here for the bacon.”  Apparently, what she meant was, “I’m not here for debatin’,” which seems really odd for a ist grader to say, but she, apparently, heard it in a song.

8.  Abigail walking by me says randomly, “Mom, I love everything about this house.”

9.  I asked Dylan to show me his room.  I had sent him up there earlier to clean it.  As we were walking up the steps, he had what he thought was a profound thought, “It’s kind of like I’m your butler.”  Yeah, that’s exactly how it is, Dylan! Ha!
