Crime Scene

These photos from their friend’s birthday party look so peaceful and serene.  There were probably 30 children running around playing.  We think it was when everyone was called in for cake that one of the guests had their car window smashed in and her purse stolen.  Broad daylight.  Thankful it was just a purse and not a child taken.  When the police were notified, I joked with Shawn that I had to walk away as the woman revealed the cost of her purse and the excessive amount of credit cards it contained.  Something about that just felt too personal, everyone learning of her shopping addiction.  I did make sure to let Shawn know how lucky he is to have me and that my Amazon shopping spree last month was nothing in comparison, ha!  Wildest kid’s birthday party I have ever been to.
