Traveling to Mexico

It’s that time of year again!  The Monarch butterflies are making their way to Mexico, and we got to tag them on their flight.  Cody and Anna have been doing this for years now, so my friend Angel who runs this program let Cody and Anna do everything themselves.  They loved having that responsibility and privilege, especially since they were the only kids there that were allowed to do that.  All of us, including myself, caught a Monarch and tagged it that morning.  Angel told me that there were a total of 113 Monarchs tagged the morning we were there.  That’s pretty impressive!  Some of us left with leaves in our hair, scratches on our legs, and welts due to an allergic reaction to a plant.  We, obviously, take the hunt very seriously!
