Glowing Green

At the end of World War II over 700 million pounds of TNT were produced.  In 2001 workers completed the burial of 1.5 million cubic yards of waste and hazardous materials in a covered mound that fills 45 acres and reaches 75 feet in the air.  We visited this site as well as the building that checked workers for radioactive material.  The kids got to go on an exciting scavenger hunt around the site while there also.  I told Shawn we might be twitching a little and glowing green when he gets home for dinner that evening!
