You Can Scream. You Can Shout. But I Won’t Let You Out.

We, seriously, had the best day ever at Six Flags as far as crowds and fantastic temperature!  We were able to walk right on to most rides.  Abigail rode her first roller coaster while there, the Screamin’ Eagle, and, let me just say, that is a pretty intense coaster for a 6 year old!  I found myself awkwardly reaching across her to help make her feel secure.  Her teeth were chattering uncontrollably after the ride, I am guessing from the anxiety of it all.  She wanted to  ride it all over again and couldn’t stop laughing during her second ride.  Is it just me or do most parents have a slight panic attack themselves when placing their little one on their very first coaster, knowing that the ride stops for no one until the VERY end?  It’s like one of the ride attendants told our group, “You can scream.  You can shout.  But I won’t let you out!”  Trust me, I had my own roller coaster of emotions until the ride came to a halt.  So thankful my kids all seem to be amusement park enthusiasts.
