Turning Four
After Cody’s martial arts testing Saturday we headed to the Incredible Pizza to celebrate Dylan’s 4th birthday. We had SO much fun! When we arrived, the employees cheered when we walked through the door. The kids felt so special, and the workers treated them/us this way the whole time we were there. I can’t say enough about how great of a job they did making the time there extra-fun and special! Shawn mentioned we were there celebrating Dylan’s birthday, and the girls at the front got so excited and rushed over to place two large birthday stickers on his shirt! Dylan’s face said it all; he was so delighted! His sticker read, “Today is my birthday. I’m incredible!” His birthday is actually in two more days, but he certainly is incredible!
We ate from the buffet first. The kids got their fill of yummy desserts. They’re cinnamon roll was sooo delicious; I have been thinking about it all day…It was that good! The rooms to eat in have different themes and movies playing while you eat. The kids picked the Tom and Jerry show. Abby took a break from eating to read one of her storybooks. The title is very appropriate for her right now as we catch her climbing everything right now…the kitchen counters, the bunkbeds, the stove. She is an accident waiting to happen no matter how hard we watch her. It just takes a second for her.
The boys’ favorite thing was the go-karts I think. Cody was so excited that he got to drive one himself this time! When finished racing, he ran to find me, explaining to me that he thinks he is ready to get his driver’s license now! He LOVED it! I got a glimpse of him at sixteen! Shawn and Dylan won the race. I think Shawn might be ready for Nascar because every time he races with the kids he always wins first prize. He says it probably helps that they always put him in the front car, but we don’t need to think too hard about that, right?! The employees kept wishing Dylan a “Happy birthday” everywhere we went. So sweet. Check out their faces and the cute thumbs-up they gave! These make me smile!
When Dylan played the claw machine, and the claw picked up a huge scoop of candy for him, we knew it was a good time to leave…leaving on a high note! We went home and opened presents and had cake and ice cream. Happy fourth birthday, Dylan! We love you bunches!
