Thanksgiving Party

This week is Thanksgiving. I wanted to share some photos from the kids’ school Thanksgiving party. It was a day that stood out to me as one of my favorites! The kids and moms had sooo much fun together! The weather was gorgeous. I thanked God afterwards for giving us such an incredibly great day! At the party, the kids made scarecrow cookies, corn painting placemats and tissue paper napkin holders. Kristen, who is an AMAZING storyteller, read the book Turkey Trouble to them. The older kids played a Thanksgiving Bingo game, while the little kids played Turkey, Turkey, Gobble (another version of Duck, Duck, Goose) and hot potato outside (with a stuffed turkey instead of potato). They played this to Dylan’s Veggie Tales Thankfulness song on his CD. My sister got this personalized CD for him, and my friend Kristen thought it was hilarious listening to Bob the Tomato and Larry the Cucumber call out Dylan’s name throughout it! We had a dried corn race and just PLAYED together.  The kids loved playing on the swingset in the backyard.  Angie’s husband built it himself.  I love all the forts inside it.

I am so very thankful for having these friends at this season of our lives right now. I always come away so encouraged!
