I Must Be A Genius!!

Cody ate a piece of candy today, and after eating it he said, “Mmm…I think I feel smarter.” Ha! I wished I felt that way. Usually I wish I could rewind my life 30 seconds and take back the calories…to be a kid!

Speaking of candy, I remembered that I never put up photos from the St. Patrick’s Day Parade where the kids got lots of candy and lots of necklaces. They had a great time. Dylan looked so cute holding his bag out, hoping someone would toss a piece of candy into it. Anna enjoyed it, but rested towards the end. She was just getting over the flu and still a little tired. She wanted so badly to wear her church sandals to the parade. We told her we had to walk a good distance, but she insisted they would be comfortable. Needless to say, she carried them and went barefoot most of the way and even at the parade! Abigail waved to the people in the parade, and Cody stuck it out the longest even with the threat of rain. He was determined to fill his bag. Cody and Anna were so sweet and offered their candy to Dylan who wasn’t as quick at grabbing the candy. Cody even shared with some other children nearby. I was so proud of them! It eventually began raining, so we took shelter under a covered gas station along with many others. Shawn and Cody ran back to the car to pick us up. They got in the car right as it began POURING. We had fun, and Dylan keeps asking if we can go back.
