Cody and Anna had so much fun at the police station field trip we took. Officer Fomera was so great with the children, just friendly and jolly, really. The children saw the 911 call center, a juvenile jail cell, the inside of a police car, and learned all about the job of an officer and safety. Anna, though, saw a jar of chocolate candy in one of the police officer’s offices, and couldn’t help but wonder through the rest of the trip whether they were going to hand out chocolate to all the children…that’s my girl! When we were leaving Cody was so proud to give Officer Fomera a card he had made for him. He shouted, with a big grin, as we left the building, “I did that! I made that for you!”
