There are so many reasons why I love the homeschool group we are a part of. I am so glad my friend Angie told me about this wonderful group. We have had so many opportunities to take part in some really fun field trips and play days. The best field trip, by far, for Cody was the Taekwondo class he took. He was on such a high after that! And who wouldn’t be? I mean, he had been preparing for a day like that for months. See, around the 4th of July he got this idea that if he wished on a star he might just be able to go to the Star Wars galaxy and fight off all the bad guys there. He talked about it constantly. So much, in fact, Anna got the idea that maybe we could go as well because she asked me one day, “Mommy, if you had to leave on a trip and could only take one thing with you what would it be?” I told her my Bible, so it was little surprise when my Bible went missing later that week. When she saw me looking for it, she got out her princess backpack and pulled my Bible out from it. She said she was packing to leave for Star Wars! Cody let her know it might be dangerous, but he would keep her safe! Martial Arts gave Cody just the rush he was looking for! What is with these boys and the adrenaline rush of taking on bad guys, anyways? So funny!
