A Bit Under The Weather

Shawn took the day off from work today because I was running a high fever in the night. It’s probably a good thing he did too because Anna and Dylan also began running fever later in the day. I slept in pretty late this morning, and Shawn made breakfast for the children. When I finally came downstairs Anna saw me and shouted, “Mom’s awake!” Cody, Anna, and Dylan all ran towards me, arms outstretched, and Cody shouted, “Big family hug!” They all embraced me tightly, Dylan sandwiched between Cody, Anna, and myself. He threw his head back onto Anna and just smiled a huge grin. It’s moments like these that make sick days totally worth it!
