A New Year

On New Year’s we went as a family to our favorite play place. I have attached a photo of Cody taken there. Unfortunately, my camera battery died soon after. Bummer. I wish I had more pictures. Anna giggled the whole way down the slide; it was so cute. The way Cody stuck out his tongue and rolled it while playing air hockey would have been great to capture! Anna squealed with delight and did her baby talk voice when she became excited over making baskets in the basketball hoop. She flapped her hands out of joy! So many squeals went up over candy, games, prizes. Cody let the owner’s son know he was impressed by how good a job he did on a jump rope game (so sweet…..the child was slightly older than Cody). Funny story…….Anna gave the boy a piece of her mind when he came up to her and grabbed her around the waist as she came down the slide feet first on her belly. She laughed at first (I think she thought it was Cody). Then when seeing who it was she surprised Shawn and me both as she scolded him with a very firm “No!” She pointed her finger at him and said, “You don’t…….!” She was stopped in her tracks by Shawn as he told her the boy was just playing with her. She controlled her little self after that, but it was hilarious! I didn’t know she would hold her own like that if she felt the need to. The boy was incredibly sweet, but Anna was, I guess, unsure of his motives. Funny if you could have seen her face, her stand her ground, and her finger point at an older child, boy even. Too sassy for her own good! Anyways, the best time! These are the moments that make me feel the happiest!
