wedding day

This past Saturday was the big day! My sister-in-law got married in Nashville, and Cody and Anna had been anticipating it for quite some time as Erin asked them to be the flower children. When we arrived Anna told me all about how she would walk down the aisle. Her advice, “Walk slowly, smile, and wash my hands with soap and water.” (smile) I am not sure where that last little piece of advice came from, but that is always good advice to heed! Cody talked for weeks about the paper hearts he would throw along with the flower petals and also of the special castle Aunt Erin would get married in. I am not sure where he got those ideas; maybe he has a little romantic side to him. Well, there may not have been paper hearts thrown or a fairty-tale castle, but I think Erin got the wedding of her dreams! She looked beautiful, and the wedding was gorgeous. I have posted quite a few photos of Cody and Anna. The one of Cody sitting on my lap laughing was taken right after Anna went onto the dance floor and ever so slightly wiggled her hips to the music. Cody began laughing hysterically and kept asking me, “What is Anna doing out there?!!” He was greatly amused by her!

Cody and Anna, you did wonderfully walking down the aisle. I loved watching your different personalities as you, Cody, freely popped the petals up into the air beside you, and, Anna, you gently sprinkled them on the ground. At the front, Cody, you wanted to keep going and announced, “But I still have a couple more!” You made the crowd laugh, and you both brought a smile to my face.
