Pudding Art

Yesterday I gave Cody and Anna some vanilla pudding to make pictures with and also to let Cody practice a game of Connect the Snowflakes as he likes to trace so much right now. However, when I went to get something Cody and Anna let the fun get a little out of hand. They discovered if they clapped their messy hands the pudding would splatter on each other, and they thought this was WONDERFUL! I cleaned them and the kitchen up thoroughly (at least I thought) and then headed to meet with the infectious disease doctor for Cody’s follow up appointment. While there, the doctor noted another condition Cody was experiencing from the Kawasaki Disease…….peeling of the skin. She went on to point out what appeared to be dry flaky skin on his cheek. She went on to describe this medical condition to us with a thorough explanation, but as I looked closely at his cheek I had to kindly interject. That’s when I explained to her that the sympton she was referring to was actually the messy ending of a pudding painting gone awry. She was quite amused!
