Playing School

Cody has fun teaching Anna her colors as well as many other things. Anna is picking up on quite a bit now. She recognizes her colors, has begun counting, and is even trying to learn letters because Cody likes them. Cody has always loved learning new things. We recently bought a Leap Frog video that several people recommended. It is called “Letter Factory.” It teaches children their letters and the sounds that they make. Cody already knew his letters but nothing about the sounds, so I gave the video a try. After one time watching it he was so excited to tell us all about several of the letter sounds. He has watched it several times since then and is now able to tell us almost all the sounds they make. This is a great video! Leap Frog did an excellent job of making learning easy and so much fun for children. I was quite impressed! Today Cody sat at lunch excitedly telling us all about the letter sounds and acting them out just like the cute characters on the video. I would highly recommend this video. Cody is also working on counting and recognizing numbers 1-100. He is doing a great job on that too and loves playing number games.
