First Smiles

Today Shawn and I are quite confident that the smiles Dylan has been giving us over the past several days are indeed true smiles in response to us. As I began talking to Dylan today he smiled at me, and I got to finally see Dylan smile at Shawn’s tried and true way of getting all our babies to smile. It really is very simple, a soft whistle between the teeth, but it gets our kiddos every time! I even tried it later, and Dylan immediately smiled at me. Ah! I love that sweet connection. Such an incredible feeling to experience that special bond with your baby!

Something else very special today was Cody’s prayer. Today he asked to pray and thanked God for some very sweet things. At the end of his prayer, though, he prayed for baby Dylan not to have any tummy hurts. I thought this was incredibly sweet. I am so proud of how he is already looking out and caring for his little brother.
