First Steps And Fourth of July

We had a big milestone before our Fourth of July celebrations. Abigail, on the night before the festivities (July 3), took her first steps!! She was engrossed in a bag of balloons we had and totally didn’t realize how long (and strong) she was standing on her own. I told Shawn I could probably trick her to walk since she was so distracted! I told her I wanted her to show me a balloon. It was just a short, few steps away, but she totally did it!! We made a big deal, and she knew what she had done, so we called her brothers and sister to see it, and she walked about 6 steps more for them. She squealed with delight as they cheered for her! I thought the city could let off the fireworks right then and there; I was so happy for her! We went to the ballpark the next evening to watch the fireworks and get our annual funnel cake. It was hot but so much fun!
