Going For The Green

This has been a busy, fun weekend that I may just have to share over several posts. Saturday Cody tested for his green belt for martial arts and passed. He did fantastic on his techniques and form! Now that he is progressing, so are the sizes of the boards he is breaking. One of the boards they brought out for Cody to break with his hand looked THICK. I leaned over to Shawn and told him that I didn’t even know if I could break that. Cody got it his first try! There was a 12 or 13 year old boy who also had to break the same size board, and he really struggled with it. Cody and his friends said it hurt a little, but they did it and were SO pleased with themselves! Abigail amused the spectators around us as she began showing off her martial arts shout she makes while kicking…”Hi-yah!” She is quite a character these days and makes us laugh all the time!
