Aholt Farms
We spent Saturday morning at Aholt Farms in Augusta. The weather was beautiful! I told Shawn when we left that I love weekends in the country with farm animals and picnic lunches outdoors…God’s creation far outshines any man-made store or attraction any day! The kids held chicks, and Anna held some bunnies. The bunnies scratched, so Cody and Dylan opted not to hold them. They painted wooden eggs and had an egg hunt. We went on a hayride and shot corn out of the corn cannon. The kids loved playing in the straw maze. There were flashlights sitting outside the maze for kids to take in to light the path. Apparently, Cody and Anna didn’t see them, and we forgot to tell them, so when they came out we told them we were going to send Abigail in with them. They were so excited, but Anna warned, “Oh! It might be difficult for her because you can’t see, and you have to FEEL (she motions with her hands how she navigated while in there) your way through!” A couple men standing there got a chuckle out of Anna; Shawn directed her to the flashlights! They soon discovered, though, no flashlight was WAY more fun than navigating with one! What a fun way to welcome spring!
