Champion Picnic

This weekend Cody tested for his green first belt at martial arts.  He passed!  I think he was most excited, though, about breaking his board into THREE pieces when he had to break a board with his hand.  He told me afterwards that his stomach felt funny during testing because he knew he was going to have to break a board.  I told him I think my stomach would feel funny too if I had to break a board with my bare hands!  That evening we had a picnic at a park with the people in his martial arts program.  The kids had fun playing together, and the students bought tickets to see some of their instructors get a pie thrown in their faces.  This also became a game of chase and tackle as the kids helped the instructors smear the pie filling over the ones who threw it!  I am grateful for such a fun program as this!
