Coasting Along
Yesterday Shawn took the day off last minute to take the kids to Six Flags. I am not sure if the kids were more excited about Six Flags or the fact that Daddy got to spend the day with them! We had great weather, and we didn’t have to wait very long for any rides since it was the middle of the week. It was such a pleasant day! One big highlight from the day was that Dylan is now tall enough to ride some of the ROLLER COASTERS!!! When did that happen?! I can’t even believe that this is possible! One employee even had him unbuckle his seat belt after he sneaked in, so she could measure him. Even she thought he looked too itty bitty to ride. Ahh, my baby boy isn’t so much baby anymore! He was so brave and loved the day so much! On one ride we did have to wait a little bit. The sun was shining on us, and Dylan, who had been quiet for a little while, spoke his thoughts, “Mommy, if we stand out in the sun for a long time, will we go blind?” I told him “No.” He was very much relieved as he reassured himself, “Good, we can’t go blind!” These are real concerns of his. In fact, whenever he first began wearing his superhero costumes outside, he would ask me if his costumes would melt in the sun. I love hearing what worries him. Abigail loved riding her little kiddie rides. She would say, “Again! That was fun! Cool!” after most rides. She is such a fun little girl! Thanks, Cody, Anna, Dylan, and Abigail for spending the day with Daddy and me. We had so much fun!
