Great Wolf Lodge
We went to Great Wolf Lodge over the weekend. The kids have been asking for a year now when we could go back. They love it there so much! Abigail went down a couple of the tunnel slides while there. She LOVED it and was so brave! She also attempted going down a pretty adventurous slide all by herself several times. It looked awful as she rapidly came to the end of the slide with water covering her whole face. The lifeguard and I rushed in to scoop her up. She gave the lifeguard a high five and kept saying repeatedly, “Do it again!” After the second time, Shawn and I decided to have her wait until she is older to ride it again. It just looked awful, all the water rushing over her, and even though she was loving it, it made us a tad too nervous. What an adventurous little girl! Cody was much more independent this year, going off on his own to ride and do everything. I did ride a couple of the raft slides with him. He reached for my hand as we waited in line and held it until time to get on; I imagine there won’t be much more holding hands in line for much longer. I cherished every second! We had story time at night in our pajamas. I loved watching Cody let out his best wolf howl during it! After story time, they had a dance party this year. Cody boogied down, and Abigail began patting Dylan’s tooshy during it. That is Dylan’s and her signature move. I don’t know where they got that from, but I do have it on video! Abby also kept running up to Wiley Wolf to hug him every chance she got! It was so sweet. I also have that on video too! We ordered pizza. I tucked Abby and Dylan into bed, and Cody and Anna went back to the lobby to dance some more. They had a hula hoop contest during the dance party, and Cody and Anna each won a round and were given a souvenir cup to take home. They were so excited! We played some miniature golf while there and headed out to eat at Dylan’s favorite dinosaur restaurant. I love the memories made there. I know these years are going to fly by fast!
