Butterfly Fly Away
The last several weeks of school we studied our fuzzy caterpillar friends. More importantly, we studied their Creator. We asked ourselves questions like, “How did they all know it was time to climb to the top of the cup? Who equipped them and told them how to build their chrysalis?” We have a God of order, and I am constantly in awe of His handiwork!
On a side note: During one of the last weeks of school, I checked out the Lewis and Clark discovery box from Busch Wildlife. There was so much wonderful material in there, ranging from fascinating books with Lewis and Clark’s own journal entries, a compass, animal trackings, maps, the colonial flag at that time, powder horn, writing quill and ink, leather bag, sashes, animal pelts, peace coin, and so much more. I am constantly impressed, though, with the knowledge Cody already has on various subjects. I told him that he reminds me of his dad, in that regard. He smiled. I could tell he liked the comparison. Then he asked very humbly, hopefully, and with a little bit of hesitation, “And do I sort of remind you a little bit of Einstein also?” Made me smile!
