Hello Sunshine

The first part of summer has been going by so quickly.  Here are some random photos of some of the summer happenings.  We’ve had our first pool days.  Cody’s friend Matthew had a sleepover at our house the night of the street dance.  We made our glitter slime I have been wanting to make with the kids.  It turned out beautifully, and it was fun and simple to make!  Dylan and Abigail got a glow-in-the-dark bath.  We have also taken a zoo trip and had VBX, but I will share those photos at a later time.

For now, here are a few cute things said this summer:

~ Abby rubbed my neck and said, “Why do you have so many sparkles?!”  She was referring to my freckles.  I attribute them to God and a Bahamas trip gone wrong.

~ The other day at Target, Dylan was full of energy (You know, the kind that needs to be reigned in.)  I took his hand and told him sweetly to come stand by me.  He stood in front of me, and I draped my arms over his shoulders and rubbed his tummy.  He said to me, “I just can’t control myself, Mommy!”  That boy makes me laugh!

~ We were out to eat at Chevy’s the other night.  Anna and Cody were discussing all of our ages.  Anna then mentioned Shawn’s age in a hushed tone.  She looks over at Shawn and says, while nodding her head, “I had to whisper that one, Daddy!”
