St. Charles Christmas Traditions

We spent the afternoon of Christmas Eve on Main Street waiting for the Santa Parade.  This was our first time experiencing any of the festivities that are held there during the Christmas season.  It was AMAZING!  In fact, when we left Cody and Anna asked if we could please go back next year!  This particular day they had a Santa send off parade escorted by all the Legends of Christmas.  The kids loved finding the different characters and receiving their trading cards from them.  It became a game to see if they could collect them all.  The characters were fantastic actors and put their whole heart into it.  It was so much fun seeing these storybook characters come to life and feeling the typical hustle and bustle of the holiday season melt away.   It was like walking into a different time.  We ended the evening with our first hot chocolate bar of the season.
