The Good and the Not Good
We played a game last week before Valentine’s Day. I filled balloons with a Good or a Not Good card. The kids had to then pop the balloons and pair each Good card with its corresponding Not Good card. We talked about how each one of us will face good and bad choices, and sometimes the decision will be very easy, and sometimes it will be very hard. We talked about making good choices-choices that show the world who Jesus is and why we love Him. Anna came to me afterwards to talk about a decision she had to make one day with her friends. She told me with tears in her eyes how one of the girls was talking mean about another child. Anna spoke up for this child, and her girlfriend got angry. Sometimes doing what is right is hard. I am proud of you, Anna, for choosing the right choice even when you stood alone. Don’t ever lose that tender heart of yours.
