Ride the Ducks

We got to discover the Ozarks and some American military vehicle history on the Duck, a vehicle that goes on both land and water.  The Ducks are based on the classic WWII DUKW amphibious design in appearance.  Our captain, Captain Tater, let the kids drive the duck once we got out into the water.  It was a neat experience.  I especially loved hearing him speak on personal military experience.  I got a lump in my throat as he led us to a beautiful overlook (patriotic music playing in the truck) and commented that this is just one of the many things our soldiers are fighting for.  We really take it all for granted.  Thank you, Captain Tater!
