Focus on the Good

After picking blackberries, we stopped at an ice cream shop before getting back on to the ferry.  We watched as an older gentleman sitting near us walked out to his car and grabbed a Finding Dory gift bag from his car.  We didn’t know it at the time, but that bag was filled with adorable beanie baby stuffed animals.  He approached our table and offered Cody, Anna, Dylan, and Abigail a toy of their own from the bag.  They were so surprised and grateful.  The man commented that he doesn’t always see children respond with such wonderful reactions and “thank you’s” like they showed to him.  We talked with him for awhile, and he told us about the church he helps serve in.  After reading about all the chaos in the world this week, his act of love was so refreshing.  Focus on the good.
