We’re Going on a Butterfly Hunt

We went with friends to tag butterflies.  My kids trekked through the “fuzzy” flowers as Abigail called them to catch and tag nine butterflies altogether.  We learned that just as we have our favorite restaurants, monarch butterflies favor milkweed plants.  They taste with their feet, and male monarchs have two small dots on their wings to identify them.  My kids were not ready to leave when I called them.  “Just one more butterfly, Mom”….Butterfly tagging is so very addictive!
