Gooo Bulldogs!
I spent last week pouring out my heart and energy to a class of 11 boys and girls at Vacation Bible School. My goal was to make sure the kids were having fun, feeling like they belonged, teaching them about our great God and how very present He is in our lives, and to make sure they heard the Gospel message. I got the pleasure of having Anna help right alongside me in my class. She was a true leader, and any teacher would be so lucky to have her as a helper. Cody helped out in another kindergarten/first grade class and loved it as well. He already has plans to help serve again next year. One of the boys wrapped his arms around me on the last day and said, “I’m going to miss you!” Another little girl told me she wishes she could have me as her teacher all the time. Avery told me she had art camp the following week. I told her that sounded like fun and asked her if she loved art. She told me, “Yes, but I love this camp better!” There were so many hugs given out and received and kids responding to the Gospel message. My heart is full. “So then, everyone who hears my words and puts them into practice is like a wise man. He builds his house on a rock.” Matthew 7:24
