Nothing but Net

When we walked into Abigail’s first basketball game, Abby teared up and told me, “Mom, I just want to stay with you.”  It was a little intimidating walking into the gym for the first time with spectators on the bleachers and referees running all around.  She had been begging to play basketball, though, and I knew she was good, and I knew she would have fun.  As soon as she got in the game, her smile came back.  Her first shot was from a good distance away.  It went in with no backboard to help her, nothing but net.  She loved the entire season and had such a positive experience!  Dylan ended the season strong.  He scored his most baskets during the last game of the season.  He is a good shot, and I love that he dribbles left-handed…my little lefty!
