An Unnerving Flight

Avichal called and asked if Cody would like to go flying with him the next morning.  Cody loves space and talks about going into aerospace engineering some day, so he was very excited about an opportunity like this!  They texted me while in the air that they were going to do a low flyover above our house, but the winds picked up, and they were unable to fly that low.  In fact, the winds picked up quite a bit, and it turned out to be a pretty intense flight.  Avichal took his headset off at one point.  They were coated in sweat.  Shawn joked that Avichal was sweating physically and emotionally.  There were a few bumps on the head, and they hit an air pocket while trying to land which caused the plane to drop suddenly onto the runway.  Cody seemed unphased, though, and said he would do it again.  Next time, hopefully, on a less windy day!  Breaking him in from the start.
